Beautiful and brave. I hope your story helps those who are in the thick of it. Knowing how deep your pain was (and I am sure IS sometimes) and seeing you laugh and smile and be brave enough to talk about your journey is pretty dang incredible!

You two are so very brave in the face of the pain you both have walked through, and i am glad you can both have a laugh and look back on it in the context of history. I think your experiences will help others that are walking through similiar painful breakups and family breakdowns. I am glad you have decided to tell your story to everyone as many people were involved in the church at the time. Your story deserves to be told and not just covered over to make nice for the other parties involved. I applaud your braveness. Big love and loads of blessings your way.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!! Never in a million years would I have thought this would happen. I am so sorry!!! And really sad! I have always looked up to you, since I was like 5. HA! And when you got married, it just seemed so picture perfect from the outside looking in. Two gorgeous, almost model-esque people who created this beautiful, magazine worthy family. It’s very very sad and disappointing on his part. You are such a beautiful, strong person!! Love your face

Wow, I can so relate to Lacie. I think that many who knew you, or knew of you, saw your relationship, and then marriage, as one to be admired and even emulated. I think the news rocked many people, even further afield than what you realize. I know that it certainly rocked me (as weird as that may be coming from a stranger). You guys in many ways were the “heroes” of my generation (amongst certain groups, at least), and it was hard to see a “hero” fall in this area. But some of us most certainly can relate to the pain caused by this sort of thing in our own lives, so it is quite cathartic to see you talk about it so freely, and with such a healed heart. Thank you for sharing!
